It was just last week when my dear, dear friends hosted a farewell party for me and now I am 24 hours away from beginning my new adventure. I cannot lie, I am an emotional mess, I am leaving everything I have come to love and know behind.
Change is not easy but I believe that everything that has transpired in my life over the past fews years has led me to this point. I was literally at a fork in the road, if I didn’t take this opportunity I might regret it later. I have had a few proverbial fork in the road moments in my life and each time I feel that I have taken the safe path…this time I am not. The only way I am going to find out if I am wrong is by doing this…so here I go.
Please know that all of you who have supported me along this difficult journey are in my heart and prayers. Saying farewell is the hardest thing I have ever done…which is probably why I have always stayed on the safe path. I am doing this so my family will have a better future, we will travel the world and create memories that will forever shape and mold who we are. You are never too old to start over…next time you hear from me I will be half way around the world.
